Meet the Director
The director of Double Agent is Sebastian Rothwyn. Below are some of his words: I am a graduate of the Media Technology and Filmmaking program at CUNY Bronx Community College. Photography, videography, audio, public speaking, acting, tinkering... these are all passions of mine. I am also a fine artist. My website is www.rothwyn.com I was very excited to be a part of the Media Technology program at BCC because, not only are there award winning professors to learn from, but a talented student body as well. From my time, as a student at BCC, I achieved a great many things from every aspect of the media technology program. Every lesson learned was an opportunity to explore that aspect of the craft in a larger arena. I plan to go on to a four year college and further pursue a degree in Media. There is only one reason to be in the Media Technology program: Media Technology. You have to love it. If you do not, it will not love you back. There are Media Studies for the semi-technical or non-technical person and regarding The History of Film and Television, it is beneficial to have a thorough education in both theory and practical. To see the film from the mind, not just the eye, of the director, changes the way one uses the tools one has learned. There is like the paintbrush, palette and oils of an artist's studio and the scene is the canvas. Not simply to know but to feel, is key in the understanding of what goes into a great film. By studying the master's and understanding how they were able to achieve what they desired, is an important study. From this course, I intended to learn how to craft a great film and to do more than capture the attention of the viewer but for it to be a lingering memory of something great that will positively stay with them for all time. |
