About Double Agent
*** The following contains spoilers. Please do not continue unless you have watched the film. ***
The film "Double Agent" is a brief introduction to a secret agent, Agent X, and the people he works with and for. We open with him in the middle of performing a mission but we intercut his briefing with The Attorney. The mission is to infiltrate a secure facility and destroy all copies of some intel that even the agent doesn't have clearance to know entirely about. All he knows are the identifiers he has been provided and where he must connect the devices he was given and what physical copies to destroy, including Cloud redundancy. Then he must exfiltrate safely without being caught. The three objectives are prototype, data and backup.
The exfiltration does not go according to plan because, although he was prepared to take on the bodyguards of the K-16.9 arms dealer, he did not know that that the dealer also had martial arts training, and he loses the showdown fight to her. Unbeknownst to both the agent and the dealer, the guard that she trusts to secure the only copy left, which was on her person, happened to be a double agent and Agent X was merely a distraction to exfiltrate the agent. This was the Attorney's plan all along, to bring back the intel and secure it in the offices of Section T-4.3. |
The Agent, Xavier/Javier, known as Agent X, is under the authority of a top secret international government agency called Section "T 4.3".
Their nemesis is a multi-national corporation that deals in corporate and governmental espionage and in dealing in arms with a concentration in weapons of mass destruction called K-16.9.
Agent X's background was as an Olympic martial arts athlete who competed in several international competitions and eventually recruited by an independent contractor for the government after he obtained his degree in Kinesiology (The study of human movement). He spent some time in biomechanics, creating limbs for veterans who were lost limbs due to war related injuries. One day he was approached by a woman known only as The Attorney.
The Attorney is a legal representative, administrator and manager of several agency assets of Section T 4.3. She usually appears to be the sole employee of the company but it is quite simply that she is the only one that ever appears in public, seemingly in many places at once. Her official title is Manager of Cosmogony.
Overwatch is the designation of the backup person or team. This changes based on the the mission parameters.
Service Provider is the name of Technical Support team which usually is liased by the same person by asset/agent. Usually, the agent will only hear and never see this person.
The way that Section T 4.3 decides to resolve their issue with K 16.9 is to send assets into their facilities and remove all the elements related to the threat. They prefer to use clandestine operatives as opposed to terminal solutions.
